The staff at the Dalmeny Hotel were caring and attentive, providing excellent service. the stay was enjoyable. - the standard double room with a balcony was comfortable. - the food offered at the hotel was amazing, with a wide array of options.

It had all the facilities and almost the standards of a Chain Hotel. Comfy beds. Nice food. Good breakfast. Pleasant staff.

Some of the fittings/decor were a little bit tired in the rooms, but it was comfortable. Lot of noise from adjacent rooms - doors banging etc.

The communal facilites were very good - the bar, restaurant and spa/swimming pool facilities. It was also very busy with familes and seemd to welcome children and have a number of activites for them. I would happily bring my family here.

My room was a budget one - but even so it was in need of refurbishment and for a similar rate you could easily stay at the nearby travel lodge. However, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

This place provides an amazing setting, close to nature and shops.

Initially given the wrong type of room. The room we were eventually given was very noisey. Loud fridge, extractors in the bathroom and toilet were ridiculously loud and there was a loud continuous mechanical/electrical drone from somewhere in the hotel.

Recently renovated standard room with a nice balcony and a separate toilet was a great example of the lovely accommodation available here.

Excellent leisure complex with pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Although travelled without young children the hotel seemed geared to specialise in catering for families with young children with plenty of activities for youngsters and good creche facilities. We would consider the hotel for a short break with our grand children in the future.

Although there are four different places to eat none were to my taste. All too modern with none offering what I would call old fashioned British food. All too modern/continental in concept.. Also bars too modern, souless and without atmosphere. None in the style of a traditional British bar/pub.
